In Year 6, St Mary's provides the opportunity for pupils to be leaders on the playground. Our leaders promote active lunchtimes and offer support to children when they are playing outside. They are there to support skill development in ball games, reinforce rules of games and a friendly face to see and play with for the younger children.
These are privileged positions that are filled quickly. The leaders do such a fantastic job!
Other leadership opportunities through sports are offered too, predominantly focusing on the older year groups as they develop into incredible young leaders.
