Out of School Achievements

The children at St Mary's are busy both in and out of school. It is great to hear about and celebrate all the things that they get up to out of school.

Well done to Miriam and Flo who competed at a trampoline competition. Miriam won her class and Flo came second in her class. Congratulations to both girls for their super achievements.

Ella made a beautiful dragon puppet at home - she had even put lights inside his head which light up making it look as though he is breathing fire! It is really beautifully crafted Ella. Thank you for bringing it to show me.

Ethan went to a ‘splash and dash’ competition at Sidcot School where he had to swim and then run and he won his class. Huge congratulations Ethan - what a remarkable achievement.

Edward went to a Judo competition at the weekend and won Gold in his category. He explained how you win points in a judo competition to me brilliantly. Congratulations Edward.

Huge congratulations to Ethan who is now part of the Somerset swimming squad. He has won medals for all sorts of strokes and he has the fabulous Somerset Squad swimming cap. Great tuff Ethan!

Well done to Daisy and Alfie who took part in the St Margret's Hospice Colour Run at the weekend. Brilliant job, both of you, and it looks a lot of fun!

Congratulations to Jack who has been awarded both rugby and football medals this week. And he tells me that the cricket season has started now, so he’s going to be busy with that now! Well done Jack.

Well done to Ella for her rugby trophy and medal, presented to her at the recent awards ceremony.

Congratulations to Matilda for her fabulous swimming results, (especially the butterfly one - I cannot even begin to imagine swimming lengths of butterfly!). Well done for working so hard to achieve this. ⭐️

Well done to Theo for competing at a rugby festival at the weekend and winning this fabulous medal. Great work Theo! 🏉

Well done to Myla, Jessica, Grace and Ellie, who won medals galore at a competition at their Gymnastics club at the weekend. They were all so proud to tell me about their weekend. Huge congratulations to you all. ⭐️

More medals for Esmae, this time winning two golds with her trampolining team. 🥇🥇

Congratulations to Tallulah for her recent successes with her dance group, at a festival. Amazing!

Megan, Flynn and Logan all did superbly at Bridgwater Swim Club’s recent event. A massive haul of medals between them and a cup for Megan. So much work goes into swim training, and these are very well deserved awards.

Izzy won silver at her recent trampolining competition. Great work Izzy and thank you for explaining your sport to us in Gold Awards.

Flynn competed at the County Swimming Championships and got a new Personal Best (PB), knocking nearly 5 seconds off his backstroke time. Well done Flynn!

Well done to Esmae, who was incredible at her recent trampoline competition, and her team won medals!

Rex has just passed his Learn to Swim 1. Well done Rex, keep being amazing!

Flynn has been selected to swim at the Somerset County Championships - we can't wait to hear how you get on Flynn! Well done.

Emily had her hair cut and donated it to The Princess Trust , and she also wrote them a wonderful letter. Well done Emily.

Jack has been so inspired by STEM club that he made this pinball machine at home. It is amazing! 😊

Well done to Oscar who went to Barrington Court and was very successful at their sports event. 😊

Jess has been awarded her green Blue Peter badge for carrying out a beach clean with her family. Well done Jess! 😊
