This year, your child will receive high-quality phonics teaching following a government validated scheme of learning - Essential Letters and Sounds (ELS). Through our rigorous teaching of phonics, we will help your child to progress their skills to become confident readers and writers.

  • Phonics Here is a link to a page with helpful videos to support your child's phonic learning. It contains a video to help with the pronunciation of the pure sounds, top tips video and how to blend. We hope you find them helpful.
  • Phonics A site that contains videos for each phoneme taught. The children love watching these at school and it would be lovely for them to watch again at home.
