St Mary’s is set in beautiful grounds on the west side of Bridgwater. Whilst we are a fairly large school, we maintain a strong sense of ‘family’, for both children and staff.


Governors wish to appoint an exceptional person who has the enthusiasm and skill to build on our current achievements and lead the school into the next phase of its development.

We are looking for a Headteacher who:

  • is able to demonstrate effective leadership and management skills

  • has the ability to inspire a strong, supportive and caring team dedicated to continue to provide the best for our children

  • has high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour

  • have a breadth of experience across all primary ages

  • is committed to promoting, developing and nurturing the Christian ethos of the school and its links with the church and diocese
