Christian Distinctiveness

"Train up children in the way they should go

and when they are old they will not depart from it."

Proverbs 22:6

As a school community, we worked together to find a bible passage that would reflect our motto, vision and ethos. The passage above, which is taken from the Old Testament, is the result of this consultation. When the passage speaks of training children up in 'the way' we are reflecting on Jesus speaking to his disciple Thomas and saying, 'I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me.' John 14:6

Our beautiful new cross in the School Hall. Made by Margaret Mead, a local artist and sculptor, who was a teacher here at St Mary’s. Thank you to Mrs Fothergill who gifted a donation towards the cost of it as her farewell present to us.
