Welcome to
our School
St. Mary's is
a Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School
set in lovely grounds to the west of Bridgwater.
The school has a long history in Bridgwater and several
of our parents attended the school themselves! With our
close links to St Mary's Church in Bridgwater, we are very
much part of the local community.
All of our work in school is
based on our Aims and Values, which have been developed by
the governors, staff and children and are reviewed every two
years. The curriculum is broad and balanced, with a strong
emphasis on every child's personal and social development
as well as the core subjects of literacy, mathematics and
science. As a result, our children are caring and friendly
towards others and their behaviour is outstanding. Visitors
always comment on the warm, friendly atmosphere in school
and on the children's exceptional good manners and behaviour!
We believe we have created a warm, creative environment for
our children, which encourages their enthusiasm for learning
and equips them with the skills they will need to become happy,
well adjusted adults.
